About the Role
This position is located in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in the Office of Development in Washington, DC. The Office of Development is responsible for raising funds from the private sector to support the Museum’s programs and operations.
The Development Writer works as a member of the Campaign and Restricted Giving Team to raise institutional funds and major restricted gifts toward achieving the Development Office’s Campaign and fiscal year goals and Museum priority needs. The position reports to the Director of Campaign and Restricted Giving.
The incumbent serves as a point of contact in Development for restricted gift proposal production requests and cross-departmental Program-related projects. Assists with select foundation and other organizational prospects and donors with regard to letters of inquiry, proposal drafting, editing and review, mailings, direct contact and relationship-building, Museum visits, and other related duties
This is a full-time donated position (non-Federal) paid with the Museum’s private funds. Salary is commensurate with experience. Until COVID-19 precautions are lifted, this position will work remotely.
