Q2 is seeking an energetic, innovative, “out of the box” thinker with a passion for software and technology to join our 2021 Summer Intern Program as a Technical Writing Intern. The Intern will work closely with the Q2 Technical Writing team to create, review, and publish technical documentation on Q2 products and internal processes. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, write, edit, and proofread technical documentation within an Agile environment.
- Interview developers and product owners to obtain key information.
- Solicit and apply peer and SME feedback to ensure clarity, completeness, technical accuracy, and quality of the documentation produced.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
- Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
- Availability to work remotely and be responsive on corporate chat and videoconferencing platforms throughout the work week.
- Learn new technologies used by the Q2 team to create documentation. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Pursuing a Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Exceptional work ethic, highly efficient, and accurate.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to function independently and proactively with minimal up-front instruction.
- Ability to take ownership of work product; driven, diligent, and self-motivated.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to a broad audience.
