The BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) division proudly offers a Virtual Summer Internship Program for undergraduate students. Through this program, the student will have the chance to gain real-world experience in changing the way we document technical solution articles by guiding a team of integration engineers to be better content creators. Key responsibilities:
- Analyzing existing KA’s and creating a well-understood content standard explaining precisely how to better write an article
- Reviews IEST policy and procedure documentation and provides recommendations on updates on outdated or missing content
- Analyze IEST knowledge repository for recommendations on content updates and content standards
- Creating clearly structured templates and standards for guiding integration engineers on what information to include in KA’s (everything from composition to jump links, we’re looking to raise the bar on what we’re creating)
- Providing periodic team meetings to brief Integration Engineers on the above, educating and empowering them to be better writers
- Documenting your work into a playbook to provide at the end of the project to use as a reference material
- Creates framework for reinforcing policies and procedures and mechanism for providing feedback and coaching based on the content Qualifications REQUIRED:
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Communications, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Administration, and Economics or related field
- The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without limitations and require no sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)
- Native English proficiency in both writing and speaking
- Practical experience with writing and editing
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to commit to a minimum of a 10-week internship PREFERRED:
- Passionate about writing styles, capturing a readers attention, and grammar in general
- Excellent at written and verbal communication
- Intellectual curiosity and highly self motivated
- Excited by working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Ability to approach the role with a can-do, team-player attitude
- Ability to work well in teams
- GPA minimum of 3.4
