Job Description:
The Manager, International, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day initiatives in Laura Mercier’s (LM) plans to grow the brand worldwide, with a special focus on Asia. He/she will specifically focus on all product readiness and go-to-market tactics related to the international business. This position will require meticulous project management, strategic and executional thinking, strong communications and diplomatic skills, high attention to detail, cultural and time zone understanding and an aptitude for timeline management. Any candidate must also be able to foster effective relationships with internal and external partners and be able to influence beyond his/her direct team to get results.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Leads communications and relationships within the LM organization and between the LM functional teams as it relates to the Asia business; manages communications and relationships between the Brandholder (LM Global) and the Asia markets:
End-to-end operational responsibility: timelines, product offer, product registrations and reformulations, digital support, social media, influencer, etc
Leads weekly/bi-weekly meetings that brings together key stakeholders, creates action plans and follows up on plans to meet deliverables
Voice of the consumer for the launch of marketing, e-commerce, and social media platforms, defines (with leadership) the strategy for these channels and secures the necessary assets/ translations, adapted to the market/consumers as needed
Procures and establishes required legal and business processes and documents required and for launch
Partner with LM teams in Asia to identify country-specific assets/needs and align priorities with the LM brandholder team
Partner with the Asia teams to review the ongoing base business forecast and define assortment for different distribution channels
Responsible for identifying and implementing scalable cross-functional processes for obtaining product registrations by partnering closely with Global Marketing, Operations & Packaging Development (OPD), Global Product Development, SAC Regulatory/America Innovation Center
Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders
Key consultant to LM Asia teams (Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Operations, Finance)
Subject matter expert and project lead of cross-functional Global Digital, Global Communications, Global Business Development, Creative/SDVM, and Global Education teams for all Asia related topics
Partner to Shiseido Americas Regulatory, Americas Innovation Center, Global Marketing, Supply & Demand Planning, Global Product Development, Operations, and OPD
Key client to external agencies and partners
Partner to Legal (Brand, Trademark), Finance (Brand, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables), Procurement, Customer Service & Order Management, External and Affiliate Operations, IT
Ability to speak in Mandarin and read Simplified Chinese is a must.
