Job Description

The Manager, Digital Communications is an essential member of a team of Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions digital media professionals tasked with developing, growing and managing digital channels and video content development for external and internal audiences. This role supports brand communications by ensuring that all web assets are deployed in a timely and consistent manner. The Manager’s primary role is to ensure that internal and external website updates are made on a regular basis and content marketing campaigns are executed through various digital media.

  • Creates engaging digital content to promote Elsevier solutions, brand and thought leadership.
  • Manages communication of web updates to contacts within the company that localize websites in numerous languages
  • Works with stakeholders within Clinical Solutions’ marketing team and other departments to improve workflow and communications
  • Manage, maintain and grow social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, among others
  • Advises on appropriate deployment of social media for events. Participates in planning sessions and attends events as needed
  • Collaborates with individuals across the organization in a similar role to share insights and best practices
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and continual research in emerging social media channels and trends, constantly innovating to keep our communications fresh, relevant and engaging
  • Supports Senior Vice President of Marketing with internal communications such as monthly newsletters, annual sales conference and department town halls. Qualifications needed for the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years experience in digital communications or marketing
  • Ability to work on cross functional teams
  • Competent communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deliver to set schedules
  • Strong tolerance for ambiguity
  • Proficient in social media platforms such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite or Spredfast
  • Skilled in use of MSOffice programs
  • Skilled in use of Adobe Creative Suite
