Job Description

What You'll Do Digital Experiences is looking for a Front End Developer to join the video.cisco.com team, focused on creating a virtual events' platform for Cisco’s customers and partners. You will work in a lean agile workflow, helping to build new features, and refine existing functionality. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding, scalable, performant, and accessible experiences. You will also be responsible for maintaining and expanding upon an established design language and component library. Build reusable UI components using the latest front end technologies and standards Be an advocate for phenomenal UX and accessibility Integrate with third-party tools while maintaining a consistent look and feel across the application Iterate quickly based on partner and customer feedback Who You'll Work With Within the video events platform team, you will work collaboratively with UX and design to implement outstanding UI components. You will also work with backend developers when necessary to define specific server-side application logic and integration work. As part of the larger Digital Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with a diverse group of technical enthusiasts. OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE: BS Degree with 5+ years as a Front-end web developer Can translate designs and wireframes into high quality code Deep expertise in UX development Understanding of modern CSS features like flex and grid, and how to use them in responsive web design Understanding of HTML semantics and ARIA roles, and their appropriate usage Experience developing accessible code in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Understanding of modern JavaScript features Experience building modular, reusable, flexible, and accessible components in a modern front end framework like React or Vue Responsive Web Design (RWD) Working knowledge of design tools: Figma, Sketch, Axure or similar Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Who We Are We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
